Roanoke Wedding Festivities – Part 1 Rehearsal Dinner

This fall we have 5 weddings we are attending!  This past weekend we had my sister-in-law’s wedding in Roanoke!  My sister-in-law, Demi, and now brother-in-law, Nick, are perfect for one another.  We had such a great time celebrating with them this weekend!  I went to Virginia Tech for college, which is only about 30 minutes from Roanoke.  However, I never really spent much time in Roanoke.  Downtown Roanoke is really precious.  They have a great selection of restaurants and boutique shops.  My husband and I got in Friday afternoon and grabbed a late lunch at Fork in the Alley.  After stuffing our faces with pizza, we walked around the shops for a bit.  We ended up buying artwork for our home from a local street vendor.  After exploring downtown Roanoke, we checked into our hotel. We stayed at the Hotel Roanoke, which is absolutely gorgeous and looks like a castle.

Friday evening we attended the rehearsal dinner at the Hidden Valley Country Club.  I wore a navy and pink Trina Turk shift dress that I got last summer at Nordstrom Rack.  I paired the dress with my navy blue suede Aerosoles wedges and a new Happiness Boutique statement necklace.  Happiness Boutique has cute and affordable statement jewelry.   Use code ‘laviepetite’ to get 10% off!

During the rehearsal dinner, Demi and Nick played a video of them individually as children and then together throughout their relationship. Then the speeches came and I cried (especially when my father-in-law made a speech) because 1. I’m such a baby and 2. I love my sister-in-law and brother-in-law so much.  They are the sweetest people and I’m so happy to be a part of their family.  Demi is not only my sister-in-law, but she’s also my friend.  Next post I’ll recap what I wore to their wedding on Saturday!

xx,
Lauren
